This location was perfect for my husband and me. In the mountains, awesome views, very peaceful. Owners are very nice and grounds are kept clean. Great place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a drive to the nearest town I definitely recommend this campground!
We went up here on short notice, just for an overnight visit to get away (super easy to book online BTW). This was by far the best experience we have had tent camping in a long time. Their General store was stocked and had an amazing variety of supplies (without getting price gouged for convenience!!). The staff was courteous, kind, and we didn't even mind that they were in the process of upgrading and construction. The bathrooms were pristine, with 24 hour access, including showers. They also had a ton of playground equipment, places to hike, the fire pits were split with a grate to cook on and a pit to roast marshmallows and hang out around, and did I mention their amazing staff? My family and I will definitely be going back!! Can't wait!
Even though we didn't end up staying here, the customer service is beyond what I expected. Long story short, we wanted to have a good night at the casinos, but my spouse had his mind set on camping. That way we could sleep and head back to the Springs in the morning.
Very friendly, beautiful grounds, showers, water and electric at each site. I DO plan on staying at this KOA in the future when I can actually plan a camping trip due to the outstanding service here. And we didn't even stay! Check it out before it closes for the season!
Upon entering the KOA, the grounds were beautiful and maintained well. Kids running around, people celebrating Labor Day weekend. It was a little past 7pm when my spouse went in and waited for his return. Then, he shows up on a golf cart with and older gentleman who showed him a tent site that he could tidy up quickly if we wanted to stay. The site was perfect and loved the view but I honestly did not want to camp.
Terry and her dad, Steve, were great hosts! We were in a tight spot and really wanted to work out staying put at their campground. They went above and beyond to help us out. We enjoyed our stay so much. It was a great base location and the views were incredible. Rich and I hope y'all are doing well. Thanks so much for all you did!
In the end, they had no tent sites available and were willing to remove some 'storage' just so we could have a camp site.
Great family environment! Chilly at night, lower 50's while we were there, lower 80 during the day with a typical afternoon shower. Camping pavilion made the afternoon showers no issue to cook in. Sinks and soap made clean up easy allowed for maximum relaxation with the family. Though there are lights in surrounding hill's star gazing is still better then any other KOA I have stayed at.
